Falcon’s Women’s program would like to invite all current, former and “newbie” women to our Friday evening Drop-in Field Hockey sessions beginning this FRIDAY May 5th 6-7pm at Winskill Turf. We will be running every Friday in May and June. No experience necessary – bring your own stick and shin pads if you have them, but we will have some sticks available for those who do not. Hope to see you out!!

The following Female Falcons represented the South East region in the FHBC: U18 Regional championship this weekend. These amazing Falcons brought home gold!
Falcon men that brought home Gold: Rowan Childs and Chase Marshall and Silver: Brendan Guraliuk
The U18 Thunder successfully host Calgary Astros in a two game series at Tamanawis and Winskill on April 7th and 8th. The two teams battled hard during the two highly competitive games. Calgary players and coaches were highly impressed with the level of umpiring . Thank you to the Falcon umpires and guest umpire Cedric Vaz. Thank you to all U15 and U16’s that played.
Falcons Field Hockey is proud to offer scholarships to deserving graduates. Scholarships of $500 towards post secondary education are awarded each year to deserving students.
The application deadline is April 30th, and the application form can be found in the documents section at the bottom right corner of the Falcons web page.
This years Monday Night Skills clinic will be coached by Andrew Kanerva.
Andrew is a student at University of British Columbia in the faculty of Kinesiology. Andrew has extensive experience playing for the men’s senior and junior national field hockey teams. He has received two silver medals at the U17 Pan American Games and at the U21 Pan American Games. Now, his interests have pivoted. He is the head coach of the FHBC T2T boys provincial team. Last year, in Calgary, he was coach of the boys T2T team who won gold at the Canadian National Championships. Aside from field hockey, Andrew is a strength and Conditioning coach for the men’s and women’s UBC Varsity Soccer teams.
Andrew will be providing developmentally appropriate skills and tactical training to clinic participants. With a combination of his education in Kinesiology with a focus on coaching and his extensive experience playing high performance field hockey,Andrew is perfectly positioned to provide an excellent high performance training experience.Catch Andrew at our field hockey clinic running on April 24th, May 8th, 29th, and June 5th
